Does your staff have the proper First Aid training? Are you ready to take care of an injured friend or participant? When did you or your staff last take a first aid course?
Wilderness First Aid is different from the Red Cross or urban first aid. Focus is on initial and prolonged care for a patient in the backcountry. Sign up for a course and will receive a two year certification with the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS (http://www.nols.edu/wmi/). These courses are open to anyone with an interest in the outdoors.
Crossing Latitudes are hosting WMI courses for scout organizations, outdoor schools and outfitters

CPR Courses
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time. Many people appear healthy with no known heart disease. Effective chest compressions provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest, can double a person’s chance of survival.
When did you last take a CPR course? The American Heart Association courses are designed to give you the confidence to respond when a friend collapses.
We can teach at your store, restaurant, gym, bank, lumberyard, yoga studio or home. Making it personal and “realistic” is important to us. All courses are taught according to American Heart Association new 2010 Guidelines.
We promise you will have fun while learning very important skills.
A Heart Saver AED course teaches Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), relief of choking, and use of barrier devices. 3-4 hours. $40.00 per person. Group Discounts available.
