Crossing Latitudes Womens' Sea Kayaking & Arctic Norway exploration!
The Lofoten Islands dramatic coast is a favorite paddling area among our staff.
This Women's expedition mixes days of sea kayaking and camping out with days of staying in traditional rorbuer (fishermen cabins). We will explore galleries, museums and enjoy cozy restaurants - This is defenitively one of our favorite trips!
We'll paddle along an incredible backdrop of huge glacially carved granite walls and lush arctic forest. From the mountainous spine of the Lofoten Islands we look across the waters of Vestfjord towards the mainland coast. No previous paddling experience is required, only an adventurous spirit and interest in the outdoors. This trip is excellent for both beginners and more experienced paddlers.

When our camping days are done we return to Svolvaer and the unique rorbuer at Svinøya. A well deserved shower and your extra luggage will meet you. During dinner in a local restaurant we will take a look at the maps and show you are next few days adventures.
From Svolvaer we travel by vehicle to the Viking museum of Borg where we hope to row the old Vikingship. Our next destination is Nusfjord. From here we trek along the coastal trail.
Our last nights are in Reine community at the southern end of the Lofoten Islands. We will enjoy some great treks, a tour out to the Malstrøm and maybe some fishing. Each evening we will enjoy the best the local restaurants has to offer.
Be prepared for a great adventure with like minded female company!
We can not promise sunshine and calm seas. And we can not promise grey skies or rain either. What we can promise is that you will have a great adventure!
