Scandinavia is known for having great winters. Many of the world's best cross country and alpine skiers are from either Norway or Sweden. And for hundreds of years the nomadic Saami people of Scandinavia have been traveling through the winter landscape using reindeer to carry their equipment. High Country Hut to Hut Ski Trip, Sweden We invite you to join us on a cross country hut to hut ski trip in the high alpine region of Jämtland. You can count on everything from a "ski in the park" along marked trails to alpine skiing down untouched mountain slopes. We will stay at mountain lodges and take day trips only. Each day we will return to our lodge for a relaxing sauna, dinner and evening presentation. Spring Reindeer Migration Expedition Every spring the reindeer herds migrate from the woodlands to the mountains. We invite you to follow the herd for a week and to help the Saami herders in their work. Our week will consist of building camps and corrals, feeding and caring for the herd. Being this close to the reindeer provides a unique knowledge about the relation between the Saami, the reindeer and nature.
